Exclusive Onitsuka Tiger and tokidoki Snow Heaven 72 Boots!

tokidoki recently announced on their blog that they together with Onitsuka Tiger is giving away 30 pairs of these gorgeous autographed beauties in a contest. This pair of tokidoki for Onitsuka Tiger Snow Heaven 72™ boots are the first collaborative effort between Onitsuka Tiger and tokidoki. Specially created for the Sundance Film Festival 2008 each pair is autographed by Simone Legno himself and is not available for sale.

Unfortunately, this contest is only open to people residing in the US who will fit into size 9 or 10 shoes. And yes I am bitter, even though I’m only a size 5 and practically simmer in sweltering heat 365 days of the year to wear snow shoes. But if I can ever get my hands on a pair, it will sit in a nice cool glass case and never touch a square millimeter of concrete pavement. Never.

Being in this part of Asia, we turn green with envy every year when the SDCC comes around. All those limited editions, special releases that we can’t get our hands on unless we fly ourselves down physically. This year’s no different, with ToyQube releasing the tokidoki (Pirata-themed) Kaniza. Only 1000 pieces will be released at the event and I’m not sure if they’ll be releasing it for general consumption (so that we all can share in the joy *sobs*) but I’m keeping my fingers crossed in any case.

In the meantime, can someone be so kind as to grab one of this for us when they’re at the SDCC?? =P

tokidoki in Singapore!

Everyone please mark your calendars for 28 and 29 June as Tokidoki will be in Singapore as one of the key exhibitors for the inaugural ‘Singapore Toy and Comic Convention‘! The event will be held at the Suntec Convention Centre Hall 603 and admission is free for both days.

According to the press release, Tokidoki will be displaying his latest range of apparel, accessories, designer toys, skate decks and more. I wonder if they will be releasing any special editions during the event (like the San Diego Comic Con) but it’s definitely an opportunity not to be missed! The last time Tokidoki graced our shores was a few years back so it’s great to have this opportunity to see him again (and get a few autographs of course…).

Of course besides Tokidoki, there will be other exhibitors from around the world like Devilrobots, TOUMA, Danny Chan so it looks set to be an exciting event not to be missed by lovers of comics, toys (and of course Tokidoki!)
